Lady Gaga Won't Be Guest Judge For 'American Idol'

Lady Gaga has vowed never to sit alongside Simon Cowell on his American Idol judging panel, because it isn't her job to tell wannabe singers if they have what it takes.

The "Just Dance" pop sensation got her start in the music industry writing songs for established acts such as Britney Spears and the Pussycat Dolls before carving out a successful solo career.

And her slow rise to the top has shown her she could never take part in auditioning artists on a TV talent show, insisting every musician has the right to try for stardom.

She says, "I've never been asked to be a judge, but I wouldn't say yes if I was.

"I don't believe it's right to judge music. It's so personal. Right now I'm possessed with this incredible instinctual energy to write joyous melodies. I don't know where it's coming from."

Britney Spears Cancels Poland Concert

Britney Spears has apologized to fans in Poland after axing her upcoming tour stop in the country's capital.

The pop star has been performing in Europe with her hit live show Circus, which was scheduled to stop in Warsaw on July 24.

But the 27 year old was forced to cancel the concert after her management team failed to resolve a contractual dispute, according to a statement released by her publicist on Wednesday.

It reads, "Britney regrets that she will not be visiting Poland's capital during her world tour. She apologizes to all her loyal fans for the cancellation and hopes to visit the culturally exciting city of Warsaw in the near future."

Spears' Polish show would have been her penultimate performance on the continent. She ends the European leg of her jaunt in Berlin, Germany on July 26 before taking the concert back to North America, where it kicked off.

Vanessa Hudgens: 'Marriage Hasn't Even Crossed My Mind'

Vanessa Hudgens is in no rush to marry Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron - insisting she's too busy to walk down the aisle.

The 20 year old first started dating Efron while filming the High School Musical franchise, which catapulted the pair into the big time.

Nevertheless, despite being one of Tinseltown's hottest couples, Hudgens hasn't even considered cementing their union.

She says, "I think marriage and starting a family is great. But I'm so focused on my career right now that it doesn't really cross my mind."

Miley Cyrus To Play A Fairy

Miley Cyrus will star in Disney film "Wings" about a 15-year-old girl who sprouts a pair of wings and learns she's a fairy, according to Variety.com.

The film is based on a best-selling book by Aprilynne Pike. Published in May, the novel is the first of a planned four-book series.

The Hannah Montana star is currently shooting "The Last Song," an adaptation of a novel written by Nicholas Sparks.

Kim & Khloe Kardashian Promote Their New 'Cleanse'

Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe are launching a "cleanse" with GNC called Quick Trim. Cleanses are intended to remove toxins from the body and help a user lose weight.

"It’s a lemonade-based cleanse. It's ready to go! Khloe has lost 20 pounds off of it," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said at the "Aces & Angels" Celebrity Poker Tournament at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles on Saturday.

According to In Touch, Kim says the 48-hour cleanse is the only of its kind she could ever finish. "I tried the pepper ones for literally half a day. I couldn’t stick to it! But I can totally do this," she exclaimed.

Miley Cyrus Misses Out On Huge 'Bolt' Payday

Teen superstar Miley Cyrus had the chance to make a lot more than the $10,000 a day paycheck she took in while making last year's Disney hit Bolt.

According to TMZ, Miley's contract for the film gave her the opportunity to make another $175,000 if the movie grossed $125 million or more in the U.S.; but, unfortunately for the star the film only grossed $114 million.

Further incentives reportedly would have paid out even more for every additional $25 million over that mark.

Miley recently released a third soundtrack from her hit Disney show, "Hannah Montana 3 - Songs From The Hit TV Series". On the album she collaborates with American Idol finalist David Archuleta, "Hannah Montana" co-star Mitchel Musso, and High School Musical alum Corbin Bleu.

Britney Spears Back In The Studio

Britney Spears has taken time out of her busy rehearsal sessions for her ongoing Circustour to head back into the studio and begin work on her next album.

The pop star is currently on the European leg of her global jaunt, but she reveals she's already coming up with new tunes for a follow-up to her 2008 LP Circus.

And she's reunited with longtime collaborator Max Martin, the brains behind her hit singlesOops I Did It Again and ...Baby One More Time, during a tour stop in the producer's native Sweden.

Writing on Twitter.com on Sunday, she says, "In Stockholm in the studio with Max Martin."

Vanessa Hudgens To Strip For 'Sucker Punch'

Teen idol Vanessa Hudgens is set to send temperatures soaring again - as a foul-mouthed prostitute.

The High School Musical star hit the headlines when candid snapshots she posed for leaked onto the internet - and now she's stripping off again in new movie Sucker Punch.

She says, "I'm playing a character named Blondie and its set in a brothel in the 1950s, so there's not a whole lot of clothes."

However, the film is also Hudgens' first action role and she can't wait to start training: "It'll be gun training, stunts, fighting and all that craziness. I can't wait. I'm so excited. I've wanted to do an action film for a while. I think this is my time to really step it up and get to grow up. It will be somewhat different with the content and a few more foul words but that's the biggest difference."

Kim Kardashian Commends Michael Jackson's Daughter Paris

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has praised Michael Jackson's daughter Paris for speaking at her dad's funeral - because she went through the same heartache when her father died.

Kardashian was one of many celebrities who joined Jackson's family, friends and fans at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to mourn the late superstar on Tuesday.

When 11-year-old Paris stepped forward to pay a tearful tribute to the King of Pop, it brought back tough memories for Kardashian, whose lawyer father passed away back in 2003.

She tells People.com, "I thought it was very moving and very brave of her. That was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I couldn't remember anything and I was shaking and it was really, really tough, and I was 22. (Paris is) only 11, and I thought it was very courageous of her to get up there."

"I was so glad I spoke at my father's funeral even though I was really nervous and I thought I couldn't do it. At the end of the day, you have that one opportunity to do that, and you want to say how you feel. She lived in the moment. I think it was really well said, and she did the best she could."

'Raven-Symone Is Not Pregnant!'

Former child star and recording artist Raven-Symone has blasted rumors that she is pregnant or a new mother.

Symone, who began her career on the Cosby Show before starring in her own Disney seriesThat's So Raven, whipped gossips into a frenzy on Wednesday after it was reported she had given birth to a daughter following a secret pregnancy.

However, a representative for the ex-Cheetah Girl says, "Raven-Symone is not pregnant nor did she give birth."

Beyonce's Sweaty Butt Off Limits To Photographers

Beyonce has reportedly ordered snappers not to photograph her from behind on her current world tour because she sweats so much.

The "Crazy In Love" hitmaker is wowing crowds on her "I Am...Sasha Fierce" global jaunt, but her dance routines are so energetic she is left dripping wet afterwards.

So she has demanded photographers only shoot from certain angles to preserve her modesty, according to the New York Daily News.

A source tells the publication, "Beyonce's costumes are so tiny and her choreography is so complicated that inevitably she sweats. It looks pretty gross, so no one is allowed to shoot her from that particular angle any more."

Jonas Brothers To Star In 'Camp Rock 2'

The Jonas Brothers are set to star in a sequel to their hit movie Camp Rock. The teenage sensations appeared in the Disney musical last year and now film bosses are scheduling "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" to be released in 2010.

Actress Demi Lovato will reappear alongside the band in the new installment, which sees them arrive at the camp only to find some of their students and instructors have set up in rival complex, Camp Star.

Chloe Bridges, a classical pianist, will debut in the movie, and hip-hop artist Matthew 'Mdot' Finley will also cameo in the film.

The first Camp Rock's TV premiere was seen by almost 9 million viewers.

Paris Hilton On Trial For Not Promoting Her Film

MIAMI (AP) - Paris Hilton is on trial in Miami, accused in a federal lawsuit of not doing enough to promote her 2006 sorority hijinks movie, "Pledge This!"

The lawsuit filed on behalf of some film investors claims the 28-year-old Hilton didn't honor her contract to promote the DVD release. The lawsuit seeks more than $8 million from Hilton and her entertainment firm.

The film was an abject failure at the box office, making about $2.9 million worldwide. Hilton contends she did everything she could to plug the movie.

The trial begins Thursday, and Hilton is expected to testify Friday. She's been in Dubai filming her "My New BFF" reality show.

The lawsuit was filed by a court-appointed receiver for a defunct Miami entertainment company that invested in the movie.

Robert Pattinson Dumps Kristen Stewart For Emilie De Ravin?

Robert Pattinson has ended his relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart and is dating his "Remember Me" co-star Emilie De Ravin, according to Life & Style.

According to one insider, "Robert met Emilie a while ago and has always liked her."

Robert supposedly recommended Emilie for the part in "Remember Me," and the two are getting along "very, very well" while filming. They are also very chummy after hours. "The connection between them was electric," says one eyewitness.

Meanwhile, Kristen is allegedly pregnant with Robert's baby. Time will tell if any of the rumors are true.

Cyrus also talks about her frienships with fellow Disney stars, "It’s hard for all of us. There are so many people that could be using you. So me and Nick [Jonas] and Demi [Lovato], we don’t need anything from each other. We got our own thing going on."

Miley is no stranger to controversial photos after last year's semi-nude Annie Leibovitz photoshoot and numerous camera phone images in scantly-clad poses. In February, she was forced to apologize for taking snaps in which she and her friends appeared to mock Asians by pulling on their eyes. And last month the producer of her new movie posted suggestive images of the star on Twitter.

Lindsay Lohan Sued For Stealing Tanning Spray Formula

Lindsay Lohan has been targeted in a new lawsuit accusing the actress of stealing the formula for her new tanning spray.

The 23-year-old Mean Girls star launched her tanning potion Sevin Nyne in April - touting it as the secret to her glowing complexion. The actress claims she has spent three years developing the product with Lorit Simon, a Las Vegas entrepreneur who tans Hollywood A-listers.

St. Petersburg, Florida-based chemist Jennifer Sunday claims she showed Simon her tanning mist samples in January and she alleges the pair stole the formula.

According to federal court documents filed in Tampa, Florida, Sunday is suing the pair for breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, civil conspiracy, intentional interference with contractual relations and deceptive and unfair trade practices.

Cohen's attorney tells the St. Petersburg Times, "The next thing we know, Lorit Simon and Lindsay Lohan are partnering and Ms. Lohan is taking credit for developing this formula, which she indeed had no role in... We are certainly looking for the profits that are being generated right now from that product. If Ms. Lohan and Ms. Simon and their companies and their shareholders are profiting from the theft of my client's formula and are profiting from that product, my client is entitled to those proceeds."

A publicist for Lohan could not be reached as WENN went to press.

Beyonce Is The Highest-Paid Celebrity Under 30

Beyonce has trumped her chart rivals Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers to be named the Best-Paid Celebrity Under 30 in a new Forbes magazine poll.

The R&B superstar, who is married to rap icon Jay-Z, raked in an estimated $87 million in the year between June 1st 2008 and June 1st 2009 to top the survey.

The 27 year old's fortune came from a variety of projects as a singer, actress, fashion designer and brand ambassador for the likes of cosmetic company L'Oreal and computer game giant Nintendo.

She was placed far ahead of Finnish Formula 1 driver Kimi Raikkonen, 29, and 24-year-old NBA hotshot LeBron James, who complete the top three.

Other stars to feature in the countdown include Toxic hit-maker Spears, 27, who earned $35 million in the last 12 months, while teenage Disney sensations Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers tie in seventh place with Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe and the world's highest-paid supermodel Gisele Bundchen with $25 million.

The top five Best-Paid Celebrities Under 30 are as follows:

According to the Australian Gossip Magazine New Weekly, Kristen Stewart is pregnant withRobert Pattinson's baby. Kristen - who reportedly became romantically involved with Robwhile filming the first Twilight movie - last week allegedly discovered she could be expecting.

A source close to Kristen told the magazine, "She asked one of her friends to buy the test because she was worried about someone seeing her at the drug store...She's very nervous about the whole situation."

The source added, "She started to suspect she might be expecting when she realized she hadn't had her period."

"When she worked out she was late, she obviously started to thinking that she could be pregnant," says a pal. "And because of the timing, she thinks Rob could be the father."

The Heroes star recently admitted she can be insecure sometimes. 'The Secret Life Of The American Teenager' 'Opens Up Avenues For Parents And Teens To Talk'

Shailene Woodley, star of ABC Family's controversial hit The Secret Life of the American Teenager, is back with even more controversial secrets for season three. Her character, Amy, has had her baby so now the focus of the drama is young motherhood.

"The baby's out," Woodley said. "No more belly. She's dealing with the baby and trying to balance normal teenage life and being a mother."

Babies are drama for Amy, but working with twin stage babies has just been a joy for Woodley. "It's so adorable. They look identical. They're actually incredible. They've never screamed with me in scenes I've done with them. But I was holding one of them once and he was staring up at the boom mike and waving to people behind the camera, paying attention to everything but the scene."

Unlike Amy, however, Woodley has the foresight to wait for motherhood. "When you hold the kid it's just, I mean they're adorable but I'm not anxious for taking care of it and staying up late and not sleeping and changing diapers all the time. So I definitely want to get my life out of the way before I start a family."

The handling of teen pregnancy has made Secret Life a hot button show. Woodley's experience with young fans has been mild and pleasant. "I haven't seen any pregnant 15-year-olds, but sometimes I'm shocked. A little little girl will come up, 'Can I have a picture' and I'm like, 'What are you doing watching the show?' like little eight year olds! I didn't know the things that they know now."

If there is any negative feedback out there, Woodley just puts it in context. "I think negative feedback of course is a great thing, not necessarily that you have to change anything but everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I think it's interesting when you meet someone who's like, 'You shouldn't put that on TV' and you can have conversations. The way I see it is if we do put it on TV, it opens up avenues for parents and teenagers to talk. Sometimes they're like, 'Well that's still bad' and other times, 'You're right, you're right.' It's not controversial and people who try to make it about that, it's cool to have conversations with."

Robert Pattinson Stressed About Obsessive Fans, Eager To Return To UK

Robert Pattinson is desperate to return home to London because he's sick of obsessive female fans hassling him in New York.

The Twilight star is currently filming his new movie, "Remember Me," in the Big Apple, and was recently struck by a taxi while trying to escape a group of over-excited devotees.

Pattinson has reportedly become so annoyed with the behavior of girls on the streets of Manhattan, he has started pining for his native Britain.

A source tells the New York Daily News, "Robert is dying to get back home. He's so over everything. He's overwhelmed by all the girls - they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he's not used to that. Fans don't do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he's used to."

And the heartthrob actor is so unhappy with life in America, even his co-stars are concerned about him.

The source adds, "He's so skinny and stressed. Everyone on set is worried about him... Robert doesn't understand why everyone is going so crazy over him. He's embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him. The girls here are stalking him. He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him. He's afraid that if he gives a hand, they'll take the whole arm. He's being advised by security not to encourage the crowd, so he doesn't even look up anymore."

Pattinson's "Twilight" co-star Michael Welch spoke out last month about his pal's fanatical admirers, saying, "Is it time to start getting concerned here? It's tough, man... I don't know where his life is really headed."

Miley Cyrus: 'I'm Single'

Miley Cyrus has brushed off rumors of a romantic reconciliation with former beau Nick Jonas, telling her fans she is loving the single life.

Cyrus turned to her ex-boyfriend Jonas following her split from model Justin Gaston in June, prompting fans to speculate the teenage sweethearts had rekindled their relationship.

The rumor mill was then set into overdrive after Nick's elder brother Joe appeared to have confirmed the news while being quizzed by talk show host Larry King on June 18th.

However, the Hannah Montana star has taken to her Twitter.com blog page to set the record straight - and let the world know she is more than happy on her own.

Paris Hilton Devastated By Contestant's Death

Paris Hilton is mourning the death of a young woman who competed on her U.K. TV seriesParis Hilton's British Best Friend.

Kat McKenzie, the runner-up in the 2009 reality contest, died suddenly on Friday. The cause of death is as yet unknown.

The hotel heiress told reporters she was "deeply saddened" by McKenzie's passing, insisting: "She will be missed."

Hilton promised McKenzie, an ex-pole dancer, they would always remain close friends on the TV program earlier this year.

Rihanna Could Be Fined For Illegal Tattooing

Rihanna has caused an ink stink in New York after she was caught moonlighting as a tattoo artist.

The singer was spotted wielding a needle in Manhattan parlour East Side Ink on Wednesday night, and website TMZ.com reports that she etched umbrella designs and the letter R on three resident artists.

The session could end up costing her dear because tattooists need a license to hold a needle in New York.

Lawmakers tell the website Rihanna could be fined almost $2,000 for the three misdemeanor offenses.

A New York City Health Department Spokesperson says, "Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City's Health Code. We are sending someone down to follow up on this."

Lindsay Lohan Back With Samantha Ronson...Again

Lindsay Lohan's on-off relationship with Samantha Ronson appears to be back on track - the couple celebrated the actress' birthday together on Wednesday night.

The star turned 23 on Thursday and hosted a lavish party on Saturday at the MGM Grand hotel and resort in Las Vegas. DJ Ronson missed out on the Vegas trip but was at Lohan's side in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The pair dressed down in jeans and matching hats as they hit The Ruby nightclub to dance the night away.

Lohan and Ronson split earlier this summer, but were spotted together at Heathrow Airport in London - where they caught a flight to Los Angeles together last month.

Britney Spears' Dad To Continue Legal Control

Britney Spears will be under the control of her father until at least 2010 - Jamie Spears has obtained a $1.5 million bond to continue acting as his daughter's legal guardian.

Spears' father was made conservator of her estate after her 2008 meltdown which led to the star being taken to hospital for psychiatric evaluation. The Toxic hit-maker's dad filed a legal document on Sunday certifying he has handed the cash over to the court so he can remain Spears' legal guardian until at least the end of this year.

The $1.5 million bond, reportedly made up of Jamie's own money, has been put in place in a bid to prevent the singer's assets being pillaged, according to RadarOnline.

It is unclear why the bond was filed so long after the court-ordered conservatorship was introduced last year.

Katy Perry Denies Threatening Australian Designer Katie Perry

Katy Perry has denied threatening her Australian namesake with legal action over a clothing range - after the fashion designer accused the star's management of bullying herinto giving up her trademark.

Perry's attorneys targeted Katie Perry, also known as Katie Howell, who runs a self-titled loungewear company in her native Australia after the singer's team attempted to file a trademark protection order in the country.

The clothing-maker claimed she had received a letter form Perry's lawyers ordering her to cease trading and withdraw her right to use the name Katie Perry on all her goods - and she vowed to contest the demands in court.

She said, "It really felt like I was being intimidated and bullied into signing everything away. (The letter) asked me to give up the trademark, withdraw sale of my clothes, withdraw any advertising and any websites, and sign that I will not in the future use a similar trademark to Katy Perry. I pretty much burst into tears. love my business. I'm not going to give it away without a fight either."

She also issued an emotional plea to Perry in an Internet video - urging the star not to destroy her company.

The "I Kissed A Girl" hitmaker has now acknowledged the row in a post on her website - but insists she never planned to take legal action over the issue and accuses the press of blowing the issue out of proportion.

A statement on the star's official website reads, "In the course of securing trademark protection for Katy Perry in Australia, it came to the attention of her representatives that Katie Howell, a clothing designer in Australia, had filed an application for trademark protection under a similar name in connection with her own clothing design business. A routine notice letter was sent to Ms. Howell, as is customary in trademark practice, alerting her of Ms.Perry's intended application."

Perry herself adds, "This is a routine trademark application, and I certainly haven't sued anyone. As usual, some of the press seems to have delighted in creating a story where there is none."

Hayden Panettiere: 'I'm Single And Mingling'

Hayden Panettiere has broken off her fling with U.K. TV presenter Steve Jones - because she doesn't want a long distance relationship.

The 19 year old Heroes star was spotted dining with Jones at London's Nobu Berkeley restaurant in May and later that month the pair was spotted getting cozy on David Furnish's yacht while holidaying in the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival.

However, Panettiere decided to call things off with the 32 year old hunk - because jetting between her home in America and the TV star's U.K. base would be too trying.

She says, "I'm single and mingling. Steve lives in London; the distance is a bit too much. I'm not dating anyone specifically and I'm not looking for a house with anyone. Cannes was a great experience. I was on vacation and some friends were going so I decided to come along. It was fun."

'Twilight' Barbie Dolls To Be Available In November

The stars of teen vampire drama Twilight are to be immortalized with their own Barbie dolls.

Fans of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's characters will be able buy their own miniature versions of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan when the figures hit stores in November, following the release of "Twilight" sequel New Moon.

Their jealous co-star Kellan Lutz says, "It blows my mind to see how much 'Twilight' merchandise there is out there. A fan once made me an Emmett (his character) doll, but I need one my parents can buy."

Hayden Panettiere Doesn't Care About Her Misspelled Back Tattoo

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere isn't fazed by the misspelled tattoo on her back because she doesn't have to look at it.

The 19 year old has the saying Vivere senza rimipiantic - meaning live without regret in Italian - etched on her back, but the tattooist made a mistake with the spelling.

But Panettiere isn't bothered about the incorrect inking, as she can't even see it.

She says, "It is misspelled, whatever, I just put my own spin to it. Chances are I'll probably get it fixed, but that's why I love having it on my back because I don't get bored of it. I don't have to stare at it all the time, but then you have it on your back and you don't realize that it's misspelled either!

Kevin Jonas has stunned fans of the Jonas Brothers by asking his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa to marry him.

The romantic pop star, 21, reportedly dropped to one knee after showing up unannounced at Deleasa's home in New Jersey on Wednesday morning - after flying in from a Tuesday night concert in Vancouver, Canada.

He presented her with a custom-made, cushion-cut diamond ring, according to People.com.

Thrilled Jonas tells the publication, "It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world.

"She said yes, yes, yes, like, 500 times super fast in a row."

Kim Kardashian has cleaned out her closet for charity - the reality TV star has listed select items from her wardrobe in a two-week online auction.

The curvy Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has opened Kim's Closet on eBay.com, an online store featuring several pieces of gently-used clothing and accessories worn by the bombshell. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Dream Foundation, which grants wishes to adults battling life-limiting illness.

Kardashian says, "I love to be able to pass along some of my favorite pieces to someone else who will get to enjoy them as much as I have. I even have many items I never had a chance to where yet. A few times a year, I bring my outfits, shoes, and accessories to Auction Cause who puts them on eBay for me."

Final bidding is scheduled to close on July 14th.

Hilary Duff To Star On 'Gossip Girl'

Hilary Duff (A Cinderella Story, Cheaper by the Dozen 2) is joining CW's Gossip Girl for a multi-episode arc this fall, according to EW.com.

The actress/pop star will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience. She ends up being roommates with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).

Duff is scheduled to debut in this season's second episode, slated to air in September.

Robert Pattinson's aunt has urged the British hunk not to start dating his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart because she fears they'll never have a moment of peace as a potential couple.
Stewart has reportedly split from longtime boyfriend Michael Angarano, paving the way for a romance with her movie love interest Pattinson.

The media has been linking the "Twilight" twosome ever since they first appeared onscreen together in last year's vampire love story, and the romance reports went into overdrive when the pair started shooting the sequel New Moon in Canada.

Both Pattinson and Stewart have denied they're anything but close friends and co-stars, and the British actor's aunt Diana Nutley hopes it stays that way - and the love rumors are false.

She tells Life & Style, "I don't think it would be a good idea for Robert to be in a serious relationship with Kristen. How can he live his life with a fellow star, with their every move being watched just like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes?"

And Nutley, who is the sister of Pattinson's mother, hopes her famous nephew will make the most of his overnight super fame - and have fun.

She adds, "He's only 23 and probably won't get married until he's 40, if he's got any sense."

And she hopes he'll eventually settle down with an English girl: "I think he will eventually come back home to England and fall in love with somebody he's known since school."

Lindsay Lohan received a present she won't forget - she was paid a staggering $70,000 to host her own birthday bash.

The star turns 23 on Thursday and she made sure the day would be a profitable one by agreeing to be paid to party at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The venue handed over $70,000 just for the actress to enjoy herself at the pool-side event last Saturday, according to New York gossip column PageSix.

As part of the deal, Lohan was expected to pose for snappers, and she did it in style - swapping her bathing costume five times.

But it seems the star couldn't persuade her celebrity pals to join in the money-spinning mission - her on/off girlfriend Samantha Ronson was absent from the festivities.

Border Problems Hold Up Jonas Brothers Concert

Young fans of the Jonas Brothers were treated to a late night on Monday, after border problems delayed the band's concert in Vancouver, Canada.

The teen pop stars were held up for two hours after trucks carrying their stage were stopped at the US-Canadian border.

A spokesperson for the GM Place venue reveals, "They played in Tacoma (Washington State) last night and it took them longer than what they expected to get up here, so the trucks didn't arrive until later this morning. Some of them got here three hours late. So we got a late start in the setup."

The brothers finally made it onstage at 9pm, and woke up their sleepy fans with a loud and energetic performance.

NEW YORK (AP) — Michael Jackson claimed to have a net worth of $236 million as of March 31, 2007, according to financial documents obtained by The Associated Press that shed light on the late pop star's murky finances and prodigious borrowing.

The documents offer the clearest account yet on the state of Jackson's financial empire, which is expected to become the focus of a legal battle between the singer's family and creditors.

Jackson had $567.6 million in assets, including his Neverland Ranch, his share of the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalog that includes the rights to songs by the Beatles, and an assortment of cars, antiques and collectibles, according to a statement of financial condition prepared by Washington-based accounting firm Thompson, Cobb, Bazilio & Associates.

The five-page report says Jackson had debts of $331 million, leaving him with a net worth of $236.6 million. Highlighting his shaky financial health, the singer known for his lavish shopping sprees had just $668,215 in cash, according to the report, which is dated June 12, 2007.

The report says the accounting of Jackson's finances is "based on information produced by his advisers." It paints a pictures of Jackson's tangled finances and the mountain of debt he left behind.

The report values Jackson's 50 percent stake in the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalog — his most prized assets — at $390.6 million.

Another of Jackson's prized possessions, his Neverland Ranch, is valued at $33 million, according to the report. It says Jackson took out a $23 million loan against the 2,500-acre property in the rolling hills of Santa Barbara County.

He also had $20 million worth of cars, antiques, collectibles and other property.
