Wildfires Force Oprah Winfrey To Evacuate

OprahOprah Winfrey's home in Montecito, California has reportedly been evacuated as wildfires blaze within a mile of her ranch.A source tells UsMagazine.com that removal experts have been spotted packing Winfrey's belongings, makin

g sure the talk show queen and her staff are ready to leave quickly if firefighters insist they get out.

Winfrey was not at the six-bedroom house, which is located just outside of Santa Barbara, on Friday - because she was taping her Oprah show in Chicago, Illinois.

A rep for the media mogul says, "The fires are nearby, but her house is not within the mandatory evacuation area. We're continuing to monitor."

Winfrey bought the coastal retreat in 2001.

The wildfire began on Tuesday and has driven more than 30,000 people from their homes in Santa Barbara County. More than 80 homes have been destroyed.
