The Hannah Montana phenomenon is the ultimate Take Your Daughter to Work experience, although maybe the other way around. Billy Ray Cyrus joins his daughter Miley, playing the show's fictional dad Robbie Ray. With Hannah Montana: The Movie coming out this weekend, Cyrus assures her fans that fame has not changed his daughter Miley.
"We both love what we do," Cyrus said. "She loves acting, she loves singing, she loves writing songs and I think for the most part with Miley I think it's staying real and remembering who she is, where she comes from and what she's all about."
In the film, Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) gets a bit too carried away with her Hannah Montana rock star identity. So Robbie Ray takes her back home to the ranch to return to her true self.
"That's part of the magic of this film, that as my dad told me when I was a little boy, it's important to always be aware of your current surroundings, where you're at at any crossroads of life, always be looking forward to the future and knowing where you want to go but most importantly, never forget where you come from. That's the theme of this movie, getting back to your roots and remembering who you are and why you're here."
