This weekend, Zac Efron will host Saturday Night Live. The exclusive gig marks a milestone his Efron's fast rising star. On Sunday, he prepared to spend a week preparing to fulfill his duties in the highly sought after position.
"I'm so excited to host SNL," Efron said. "I leave tonight on the red eye and we start working on the show tomorrow."
Growing up watching the various stars of his childhood earn their hosting title, Efron knew he wanted to end up on that stage in 30 Rock. "It's been a dream of mine since I was like 10 years old."
Perhaps he has been preparing for this for his entire career. The sketch comedy show will rely on some performance skills that perhaps the High School Musical trilogy did not exploit. "I mean, improv is pretty much how I got started. They do more sketch comedy but this is how I started. This is what I want to get back to. I think it's going to be a great week. I can't wait."
